Refund & Cancellation Policy

In short: TripSums is free to use. The optional Pro plan is a subscription you can cancel any time, keeping access until the end of the period you've paid for. If something's gone wrong with a charge, contact us and we'll put it right.

1. Free service

The core of TripSums is free. You only pay if you choose to subscribe to TripSums Pro.

2. Subscriptions & billing

TripSums Pro is billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose). Payments are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, who act as the Merchant of Record and handle billing and applicable taxes.

3. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time:

  • From your TripSums account (Account → Manage subscription), or
  • Via the billing/receipt email from Lemon Squeezy, or
  • By emailing us at support@tripsums.com.

When you cancel, your subscription will not renew. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for, then your account returns to the free plan. We don't charge a cancellation fee.

4. Refunds

Because Pro is a digital service billed in advance:

  • Cancellations stop future charges but do not automatically refund the current period.
  • If you were charged in error, charged twice, or couldn't access Pro features due to a fault on our side, contact us within 14 days and we'll issue a refund.
  • We consider reasonable refund requests in good faith — if you're unhappy, get in touch and we'll do our best to sort it out.

5. Your statutory rights (UK/EU)

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a purchase. Note that for digital services, this right may end once the service has been fully provided with your consent. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Travel bookings are not made through TripSums

Important: TripSums does not sell or take payment for flights, hotels or other travel. When you book travel, you do so directly on a third-party provider's website, under their terms and refund/cancellation policies. Any refund for a flight, hotel or other travel booking must be requested from that provider — not from TripSums.
